Luna Maya is an Indonesian soap opera actress, singer and movie star. She started her career as an advertising and catwalk model. Her name getting popular in the world of entertainment, while starring in the film ''Cinta Silver'' with Rima Melati and Catherine Wilson. In addition to the above films, Luna also starred in several film: ''Ruang'', ''Jakarta Undercover'', and ''Pesan Dari Surga''. Luna also ever getting nomination for category "Most Favorite Actress" through the film ''Pesan Dari Surga'' at the 2007 MTV Indonesia Movie Awards. Even in 2006, through the film ''Ruang'' managed to deliver herself in nomination for category "Best Female Leading Role" at the 2006 Indonesian Film Festival. Luna also starred in several soap operas in between: ''Dan'', ''Kau Dan Aku'', ''Ada Cinta'', ''Rahasiaku'' and ''Anggun''. Luna's movie titled ''In the Name of Love'', who directed by Rudy Soedjarwo, also fairly successful in the market. In 2007, Luna become an Ambassador of Indonesia Asthma Foundation. Luna who suffered from asthma since 2004 are also required to abstain from eating beans, chicken, milk, and chocolate. Luna claimed to suffer from asthma due to genetic factors from his father. In 2008, Luna was named as Brand Ambassador for promote Toshiba products in Indonesia〔(Luna Maya: Ambassador Of Toshiba Indonesia )〕 and become to be the Ambassador for the World Food Programme (WFP) Indonesia.
